The WORD With My Sons!
Welcome to my new blog! In May 2012, I started an in-depth Bible study blog, "Ears to Hear, Let Him Hear!" In August 2016, I started a Biblical application to current events blog, "Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding!" I ceased adding content to either blog in October 2018, after my oldest son and I had a very heated discussion, in which I came under conviction by the Holy Spirit that I needed to work on myself...again! I was not in a spiritual nor mental place to give anyone guidance or instruction about most things.
After years of making necessary lifestyle changes, receiving wise spiritual counsel, giving up roles that God didn't want me to have, while taking on other tasks that God did want me to do, and actively practicing being "quick to listen and slow to speak, and slow to get angry" (James 1:19), fast forward to March 2025; I've had a desire to start another Bible study blog for years, but I've been waiting on confirmation from God.
This morning, my oldest son joined my morning Bible study through text and the conversation was so powerful and thought provoking. I'm so proud of the man and husband he's become, in spite of the struggles he's endured, along with triumphs he's achieved! But one thing he wrote that touched me most was, "Thank you for helping me learn even more and putting me on the right path with God. Truly appreciate it!"
I shared this and some other recent events with a close friend who proceeded to ask me, "have you ever thought of becoming a preacher or starting a Bible study?" No to the preacher...LOL But, I thanked her for allowing God to speak through her and give me confirmation that the desire in my heart to do this is what God wants me to do, and that now is as good a time as any to start again.
So, this will the the third incarnation of my Bible study blog! This blog will be like a conversation, similar to the ones I often have with my sons about any and all topics, and together along with wise spiritual consult and references, we will come to certain conclusions and ways to respond to various life issues based solely on the WORD of God, through the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name! AMEN

ReplyDeleteBe positive and enjoy things that are positive. Light removes darkness. If something is good, focus on it, find joy in it and let it feed your soul. If not, remove yourself from it. Applies to everything. What you put out and give energy to returns to you. Root for and look for things and people to thrive and win even when things don’t seem positive for you, watch it come back to you and change your outlook and life too. Food for thought. Much love.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Wise words!
